Misanthropy, metal band forging their own unique sound, blending traditional metalcore with melodic and aggressive tones, and drawing on influences from classic metal and alt‑metal. With a debut EP and full-length album on the way, the band has already played countless shows and is currently on a Newcastle-to-Sydney tour.

Misanthropy formed in mid October 2025, fuelled off inspiration from local bands, the original cast gave a start in a house with poor equipment but manageable use, eventually leading to original covers that remain on YouTube. Over time the original cast slowly fell apart putting Misanthropy at its official lowest, leaving only the lead guitarist, whom eventually gathered who we know as Misanthropy today.

Despite forming all the troubles and the extreme poor timing, Misanthropy have achieved a lot in a short time, including performing at a sold-out festival fundraiser in North Lakes, opening for Accelerated Suffering at The Cage, and being featured on three different news channels as well as Triple J.

They are currently competing in two seperate battle of the bands along the coast.

Misanthropy have a big goal for 2027, and there calendar is looking full already, whilst not achieving it this year they hope to play to at GoodThings in the near future.
